At last after one month cravings for this classic dessert, finally had a feast. Just don't bother to offer anyone, I had my freshly oven baked hot chocolate molten cake alone. Hmmm......!!!!! Its a true chocolate moment! Blissfull and divine! Anyone resist to have more! I guess not.
The runny gooey chocolate which flows out deliberately would inspires anyone. Its absolutely scrumptious! Those chocolate lovers must try this rich and moist textured chocolate cake.
Such a easy recipe, wonderful dessert for lovely family and friends. I have tried the recipe without eggs too. Will update soon!
Ingredients :
- 100g unsalted butter plus more butter for greasing
- 1 bar (150g) semisweet or dark chocolate.
- 3 tbsp castor sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup Buttermilk
- 2 tbsp of Superfine or Self raising flour
- 1 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla essence (opt)
Preparation Method:
- Preheat the oven 200 degree C. Grease your 4 ramekins or mugs generously with butter and then dust with granulated sugar. Keep aside.
- Sieve together flour and cocoa powder and keep aside.
- Use double boiler to melt the chocolate and butter. Whisk gently to well combine.
- Beat sugar together with the egg and egg yolks till pale and frothy. Add a drop of essence.
- Add buttermilk and beat again for another 1 minute.
- Now add the cooled chocolate mixture into the batter.
- Whisk to well combine. Add the flour mixture and mix well.
- Pour 2/3 cup full ramekins and bake for 12 minutes approximately.
- Invert to plate. Serve while hot with any berries or vanilla ice cream.
