Food Technologist by profession under Food Safety and Quality Division. Food Technology nothing to do with culinary. Cooking was my passion since young. My mom would be the first master who taught me on cooking. Time flies, very quickly. TV shows and programs creates more awareness and encouragement in myself. Still learning from various sources whenever I got time. Learning is a continuous process and it’s really fun for me.
How I Got Started with the Blog
Shinieskitchendiary launched the first post on 14/1/2011. The idea was blossomed during my confinement period with my son. I resigned my job before i gave birth. My little son was very precious to me untill I wanted to take care of him myself. For the past one year, I had full time to cook various dishes for the family. Whenever i cook, i tend to decorate and snap pictures. Just for satisfaction! Later, i upload the pictures through my Facebook under Busy In the Kitchen since i have nothing else to post. Ha ha ha…
I received a lot of compliments from friends. Its really encouraging. I started to create the blog with Busy In the Kitchen. It took about couple of months to develop the webpage. Unfortunately, had to give up the blog because it was not really attractive. Finally I persuade my husband to develop a blog from the beginning until the end. In fact, the first post was edited by him. I learned most of the things from him about the photo editing and so on.
Photography
I learned food photography by myself at the beginning. Then I looked for books which could give better guidance. I surf the net occasionally. Sometimes I would compare my pictures with other best food photographs.
Recipes
Recipes which I posted on my blog mostly from the my old archives treasured by my family and modified and created by myself. I always modify the recipes to have my own version. Some of the recipes I have pulled from various cookbook, magazines and etc. Even I have created many recipes in my own. These are dishes I cooked when I have limited time to cook. But not all the recipes I posted cause, I don’t even have time to take photograph. Besides, I always love to try new dishes whenever I have chance to visit restaurants. The dishes which I have tried, would be my following experiment in my kitchen. Apart from these, there are some recipes which took from various bloggers. In that case I always note either the bloggers name or the web address. Perfect recipes always in my Kitchen Diary for future use. These are the recipes I shared through my posts.
Conclusion
This is my personal blog to share my tested recipes and always welcome your constructive comments. Improvements and updates always in my mind. Its just a matter of time.
